   It depends on the situation
Decide which type of building situation (A, B or C) is applicable.
Check at which outlet height installation will take place.
The necessary screening depends on meteorological and building specific factors. Those are e.g.      direct and strong wind impact, if shielded by a street of houses or diagonally to the general direction of      the direction of the wind etc.
Currents occurring only due to differences in temperature in the heating period inside/outside: 0.3 to      1m/s.
All general low inflow e.g. due to buildings in front of the pressure side of the upstream object: 1 to 3      m/s.
All general strong inflow e.g. positioned on corners or market places with only slight protection due to     buildings in front: 1 to 6 m/s.
On totally unprotected area, on open land: considerably more.

Note : Flows should be measured with differentiating wind pressure.

IDW-Type:

Air roll rotating inwards.

ADW-Type:
Air roll rotating outwards.

Situation A
Door areas situated on the side of the building. No appreciable air flow possibilities due to thermals or chimney effect.
Situation B
Door areas situated on the side of the building. Air flow possibilities exist due to thermals in the upper floors or due to chimney effect to the outside.
Situation C
Unshielded door areas also situated on other sides of the building e.g. sideways or opposite. The size of the air flow possibilities is identical or larger than the door areas that need to be shielded.
